OUR STORY

It Started With Flavours.

I grew up around food and beverage manufacturing. It was the family business, so flavours, syrups and ingredients were never unfamiliar to me. Our work in the flavouring business also gave me a view into the side where flavours are actually made, not just where they're used.

I spent years around production floors and formulation before I fully understood what all of it meant. That experience eventually became the foundation for Naturae.

We Know What's Behind the Flavour.

Most syrup brands buy flavour from somewhere else and blend it into a syrup. Our background is different. We're also in the flavouring business, which means we've spent time understanding what goes into the flavour itself.

In many cases, we're not guessing what's inside our own flavours. We're the ones who made them.

THE PROBLEM WE SAW

Too Many Bottles. Not Enough Answers.

Over the years, I noticed that even experienced café and bar owners often didn't know exactly what was in the syrup they were using — or why it behaved the way it did.

Why does one syrup split in cold milk while another doesn't?

Why does a mocktail syrup need a certain pH to remain stable on the shelf?

Why does one formulation work better in a particular beverage?

Nobody was really explaining these things. Brands were selling bottles and moving on.

The Naturae Approach

Every Naturae formulation goes through this process. It's slower than simply putting a product on the market, but it means we understand why a syrup works the way it does.
01 —

MIX

Build the formulation.

02 —

TASTE

Evaluate how it actually performs.

03 —

REFINE

Adjust the balance, acidity, sweetness and formulation.

04 —

REPEAT

Keep testing until it works.

05 — FOUNDER PHILOSOPHY

I Don't Just Put My Name Behind It.

I test every formulation myself — mixing batches, tasting them, changing the acid balance, adjusting the sugar and throwing out what doesn't work.

It's slow, and honestly, there's a lot of trial and error. But when I tell a café owner why a syrup is made a certain way, I actually know the answer because I've made the mistakes myself first.
